We didn't have a lot of time after the wedding for a honeymoon before we'd have to be back to the base in El Paso, so we decided we would go up to Park City for a few days. We had never really spent a lot of time exploring that part of Utah, and while I lived back east-- I was told time and time again how gorgeous this part of Utah is. True, it's about the opposite corner of Utah from St. George, but I had no idea how much different an environment could be just 5 or so hours away from us. It was pretty chilly the whole time and I didn't bring my jacket because I had left a blazing hot summer in St. George; totally different than Park City. Luckily, Fuzz came prepared-- with an extra jacket for me too. It was the perfect place for us to rest and relax, just enjoying being together. We watched some movies, ate lots of popcorn, and junk food, went swimming in their pool sized hot tub-- haha it was awesome. We went and got a couples massage together-- oh, it felt so good! We had some amazing dinners up there-- really, soooo amazing! We indulged almost daily with a trip to Cold Stone Creamery. Wow-- they have so many awesome combination's to choose from-- and they all taste so good!
Downtown Park City.
So as we were telling our friends and family that we were planning on coming here for our honeymoon, almost every person commented, "Oh, you totally have to go to the Alpine slide!" We got up to the resort and saw that we could go on this way cool zip line that was as high up as the Alpine slide-- Oh, so high! I was so afraid but knew that it would be so much fun. We got our tickets and then headed up the mountain.
We finally got to the top, and then hopped off the lift so we could get in the line for the zip line. We stood in that line for over an hour, and then finally we were second in line. Just when we were that close to finally having our turn, we heard a noise. . . turn off. The motor that made the zip line work died. They tried forever to fix it and told us that it was actually new, so it shouldn't have any problems. They even called in back up. . . still, nobody could get it going again. So they told us that we could get our money back for the ride, and since we had to get down somehow. . . they'd let us ride the Alpine slide for free ;)
Here's Fuzz trying to get over his nerves under control. . . just kidding. He was stoked, I was just getting a tiny bit nervous because I hadn't gone on this since I was like 5 and didn't know what to expect.
Here we go!
There were so many adorable little cottages just like this one all over the place!
I couldn't help but take pictures of the gorgeous scenery in here, in the Provo Canyon, and in Midway. Oh, it was just beautiful!
Here is were the slopes were for the Olympics:
This is where the bobsledding took place--
We found one of our favorite restaurants up here-- It was just about as good as St. George where we take pride in the fact that St. George is where it all got started.
We found this awesome fence when we were out exploring-- cool huh?!
Strolling down Main Street. . . we found some awesome art gallery's. One of them, Fatali's Gallery, was familiar to us because we've seen his work down in Zion National Park in southern Utah-- and fell in love with his work there. We were shocked to see him come around the corner when we were there and actually get to meet him in person! He was so nice, and his pictures were just to die for. Someday when me and Fuzz grow up we think it would be fun to splurge on one of his pictures. . . just a lil one. . . our biggest struggle will be deciding which one! They are all so unique- insanely amazing! He doesn't even touch up his pictures with any photo enhancements, it's all natural, and good ole fashioned film-- not digital! They said sometimes he waits months in a certain place just for the lighting to be perfect. Here's a link to his site:

Fuzz and I found some new friends while we were there. . .
Main street was filled with so many unique little botique's, restaurants, and gallery's.
It'll be fun to someday come back and see this place in it's "prime" winter months, covered in snow. The cute little gal that helped us at Cold Stone commented, " Ya know when ya look at a Christmas card and it's like a winter wonderland. . . it looks like they took a picture up here! Because that's what it looks like when this place is covered in snow!"
